Why community and connection are so important

This magazine throws a spotlight on the stories of more than 50 community groups and businesses, and over 110 people in Kilmore.

I’d like to thank each and every person who gave their time to share their stories.



BEAM Mitchell Environment Group is a not-for-profit volunteer group active in Mitchell Shire. “Globally aware and locally active,” is the group’s motto.

BEAM engage in a range of activities from Clean Up Kilmore days and protection of Monument Hill locally, to acting on Climate Change and building community resilience with active support for our natural environment, renewable energy and local food security. BEAM has a frequently updated website, a regular e-newsletter and Facebook page, plus a weekly radio program EarthChat (103.9FM). There are many ways to become involved, and new members are always welcome.
