Kilmore Racing Club is one of Victoria’s earliest racing clubs and has been part of the local community since 1861.

The facility hosts both thoroughbred and harness racing, and provides training facilities. But it’s not simply about horse racing, it’s about people and serving the community.
Chief executive officer Ben Murphy says that he is proud to be part of the club’s long-standing tradition. “Leading a team of 180 people, my focus is helping people to be their best,” he says.
“It’s also about getting your hands dirty and working with your people.”
Under Ben’s leadership, there has been a renewed focus on teamwork and developing people. “We help people build real careers at Trackside, it’s not just a job,” he says.
Marketing and community engagement manager Lindsey Melis loves working with the community. “This is the best part of my role,” she says. “Connecting with people and uncovering new ways we can work together.”
Venue manager Emily Milwain agrees. “The best part really is the people. They are what makes the club great.”
