Why community and connection are so important

Steph Ryan MP

This magazine throws a spotlight on the stories of more than 50 community groups and businesses, and over 110 people in Kilmore.

I’d like to thank each and every person who gave their time to share their stories.

Travel Counsellors

Updated: Oct 11, 2018

Five minutes west of Kilmore is a beautiful hobby farm. One of many in the area, there is a long, stately driveway to an oblong, ranch-style house. The property belongs to Christine Klein and her family and it is her home, as well as her office.

Christine is a travel agent and each day she arranges the private and business travel of her clients, who live around Australia.

“The thing I love about Travel Counsellors is the personal approach,” Christine explains. “I am connected to a huge network of counsellors, over 1700, in over 7 countries. Clients tell me this is enormously handy and reassuring,” she says.

Not only can Christine tap into local knowledge, which can be difficult to access, there’s also support when you’re away.

Christine is passionate about travel and believes in individual experience. “With Travel Counsellors, it’s not just an off the shelf product,” she says.

“We’re in the business of fulfilling dreams and creating memories. You can’t mass-manufacture those.”
