Why community and connection are so important

Steph Ryan MP

This magazine throws a spotlight on the stories of more than 50 community groups and businesses, and over 110 people in Kilmore.

I’d like to thank each and every person who gave their time to share their stories.

Jo Kubeil says it’s possible to get your logo on to just about anything; clothing, crockery, stickers, bags, caps, tea towels, name badges. Ten years ago, the Kilmore local and mum of two was looking for a ‘career that she could fit in with her family’.

With her skills in design, her digital printing business Words on Shirts was born.

“We don’t embroider, but we do outsource that,” Jo says. “We can also assist with the design work and supply all the clothing and product. All you need do is tell us your idea.”

Although Jo enjoys the making part of her work, the best bit is seeing her clients grow. “I love to help people get dressed for success,” Jo says.

“When businesses get to a point where they take on staff, I feel proud, like maybe I’ve played a small role in that.”
